Homemade Curry PowderThis easy to make blend is the perfect combo of spices for adding traditional flavours and mouthwatering aromas to all your homemade Indian dishes. Makes about 7 tbsp3 tbsp coriander seeds2 tbsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds 2 tsp black peppercorns 2-3 tsp chili powder 2 tsp black mustard seeds (or yellow) 1 tsp whole cloves 1 tsp ginger powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 5-6 green cardamom pods 1-2 tsp salt (optional) tbsp = tablespoon Directions:
That's all there is to it! Store in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. Use within 3 months. Note: You could dry toast the peppercorns, cardamom pods, cloves, cumin, fenugreek and coriander seeds before grinding. This really brings out their flavours and aromas!
