If you're into making homemade pie, then this easy pumpkin spice is the perfect addition. Combine four pre-ground spices and in just a few minutes you're ready bake! But just because this mix has pumpkin in its name, don't think it can only be used for pumpkin. It will add fab flavours to all your fruit based pies and numerous puddings and desserts and also works with lots of baked recipes. (See the bottom of the page for links to more of my recipes)
Ingredients: (makes about 4 tablespoons)
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger powder
2 tsp nutmeg powder
1 tsp ground cloves
tbsp = tablespoon
tsp = teaspoon
Directions:
That's all there is to it!
Store in an airtight jar, in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Use within 3 months.
Ingredient Note: I often use a few whole spices for my recipes which I then grind and combine with other pre-ground powders and dried herbs. But as folks may not have whole available, the recipe below is made with just powders. You'll still get all the flavours but without the trouble of grinding.
