Whilst I use dried ingredients for this herby Italian seasoning mix, you can use fresh if you prefer. If you do, double or treble the amount of fresh herbs and add the ground flakes and peppercorns separately. You can use this recipe for pretty much everything. And I suggest a heaped tablespoon per serving. (See the bottom of the page for other recipes)
What You'll Need: (makes about 12 tablespoons)
3 tbsp dried parsley
3 tbsp dried basil
2 tbsp dried thyme
2 tbsp black peppercorns
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
6-8 dried bay leaves
tbsp = tablespoon
tsp = teaspoon
Directions:
Store your seasoning in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. Use within 2 months.
Ingredient Note: If you only have ground pepper just use this and reduce the amount the recipe says by half. So for 2 tablespoons of peppercorns you would use 1 tablespoon of ground pepper and stir in with the other powders.
