Parsley Tea Recipe - Make and Enjoy a
Delicious, Super Healthy Cup of Herbal Tea

With its myriad of health benefits, parsley is definitely a herb we all should add to our diet. And parsley tea is a super easy way to achieve this. Making your own is very quick and simple to do, and in just minutes you'll be enjoying a super healthy herbal tea with all the medicinal uses that come along with it! So, if you're into making homemade spiced and herbal teas then this is the blend for you! (See the bottom of the page for more homemade mixes, seasonings and blends)

What You'll Need: (makes 2 cups)

A handful of fresh parsley
A largish piece of fresh ginger root
Half a lemon
Optional sweetener e.g honey/sugar/agave nectar etc
Enough water for 2 cups

Directions:

  • Boil the water in a kettle
  • Chop the parsley (stalks and all)
  • Zest about 2 teaspoons of lemon peel
  • Squeeze the juice from the zested lemon and set aside for later
  • Grate about a tablespoons worth of ginger root
  • Add the chopped parsley leaves and stalks, grated ginger and lemon zest to a teapot and pour on the boiled water
  • Give everything a quick stir and let steep for 5-7 minutes
  • After steeping, add the lemon juice to the teapot and give another stir
  • Finally, strain into your cups, and if using, stir in the sweetener

That's it! Serve and enjoy.

How to Make Parsley Tea Using Dried Leaves...

This is basically the same as the above but using dried herbs instead of fresh. You use it just like you would loose tea leaves...

What You'll Need: (makes 2 cups)

3 tbsp of dried parsley
A largish piece of fresh ginger root
Half a lemon
Optional sweetener e.g honey/sugar/agave nectar etc
Enough water for 2 cups

tbsp = tablespoon

  • Boil the water in a kettle
  • Zest about 2 teaspoons of lemon peel
  • Squeeze the juice from the zested lemon and set aside for later
  • Grate about a tablespoons worth of ginger root
  • Add the dried parsley leaves, grated ginger and lemon zest to a teapot and pour on the boiled water
  • Give everything a quick stir and let steep for 5-7 minutes
  • After steeping, add the lemon juice to the teapot and give another stir
  • Finally, strain into your cups, and if using, stir in the sweetener

That's it! Serve and enjoy.
